Companies and Organizations in New Orleans and Louisiana
- New Orleans is graciously blessed with many coffeehouses. One of these is
the Royal Blend Coffee and Tea
house, with a few locations around the city.
- The Governor's Program for Gifted Children,
is a 7 week summer program that takes place at McNeese University in Lake
Charles, LA for students aged 12-16. Classes include math, humanities, art,
music, and science.
- Missed the news on WWL, channel 4? Log onto their website at www.wwltv.com,
and you can replay it on the net using Real Player and a sound card. They
will keep the news archived for a week. You can also check out what Frank
Davis was cooking this week as well....
- Offbeat is a magazine about music
in New Orleans and Louisiana. It's free at a bunch of coffeehouses around
the city, but it's available by subscription (and there's a lot of out-of-state
and out-of-country subscribers).
- The webmaster is a supporter of the Crescent
City Farmer's Market which operates on Saturdays and Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Farmers from around the region come to sell their produce, as well as flowers
and seafood.
